Because YOU asked for it, the REPERTORY PHILIPPINES and PHILIPPINE EDUCATIONAL THEATER ASSOCIATION brings to MAKATI, the hit-musical comedy CAREDIVAS!
After a highly successfully opening last February 2011, Care Divas continued to perform for raving audiences in encore performances during the months of April, May, June, July and December. Due to insistent public demand, PETA is once again mounting the play, this time bringing it to the heart of Makati.

Briefly, Liza Magtoto’s CARE DIVAS - a disarmingly funny and candid musical drama telling the stories of five Filipino transgender migrant workers who immigrated to Israel to work as health care providers for the elderly and who in their spare time, perform as drag queens. While desperate to make ends meet in another country, they also struggle to search for freedom and acceptance. Directed by PDI’s BRAVO Director of the Year, Maribel Legarda and scored by multi- awarded composer and singer Vincent de Jesus.
We started supporting the Black Pencil Project which aims to help provide school supplies through resource mobilization to public elementary schools in the remote barangays across the country since January of this year. We will use the funds that we will be able to accumulate by May to buy all the school supplies. For the month of March K I S H is sponsoring CareDivas at OnStage Greenbelt on April 27, 2012 at 8:00 pm to support The Black Pencil Project. This is part of our ongoing program, Our Share, which aims to support organizations that help out.
