For the longest time, I’ve been dreaming of building a house just to have herringbone wooden floors. It’s all in my mind – I will have teak from Indonesia cut to a specific size to form the herringbone pattern, and I will not apply any finish and will just keep it as natural as possible. I will have a mixture of mid-century pieces and traditional classic pieces as furniture. I might even match it with a black baccarat chandelier if I can afford one, although I do not mind a vintage crystal chandelier from a flea market. My wall will be the usual all-white.
I always imagined it to be in Tagaytay. Now if only I could afford it. But hey, nothing wrong to dream about it and be prepared.
