I do not believe in new years resolutions. I do not do such things.
What I do is, I dream a dream. That is what I always do every time I am nearing the end of 365 days. I dream of all the things I want to happen. Parts of my dreams are continuation of the same dreams I had years ago. Some came true but some I am still working on them. Some of my dreams may sound ridiculous. I always dreamt that I would be a Broadway star. Yes a Broadway star just like Lea Salonga. I remember that when my friend Wyngard Tracy was first hospitalized, I sent him flowers and with a note saying – You have to get well soon because you will manage my Broadway career. Obviously he did not believe because he went to heaven. It is still part of my dream.

When I was 11 or 12 I dreamt that I will open the most beautiful home store and that dream was followed when during my senior year in high school, I decided not to buy my year book so that I could use the money to buy 3 copies of architectural digest magazines and realized that I love looking at beautiful stuff for the home. I think some of you now will say I have a beautiful home store and I have done beautiful homes. I have to admit that I am still dreaming of K I S H. I have to or else it will not be the beautiful store I originally dreamt about.

I am still dreaming about my weekend home somewhere in Tagaytay. I want to be able to drive up South with my special someone or my family and just chill. Sometimes invite friends on weekends and just chill. At times be alone and chill.

Years ago, I dreamt about setting up small simple houses that are well designed to give ordinary home makers a chance to see how things should be done. It’s sort of a home museum. Anyone can enter and get ideas and then go home and apply it to the way they should live.

I have not done any dream projects so far that I can consider my best. My Antel project was no. 10 and 9 respectively. My apartment is no. 5. The list is still very much open.

That Manila or the whole of metro Manila will be redesigned so that we have a basis of what is a beautiful and efficient city.

I dream of no corruption. Those bad politicians who are implicated in any wrong doing must resign. I want to see more statesmen than politicians.
Again, we can dream and say this and that but if we do not put everything into action, it is useless to even dream.
When I was 6 years old, I said I want to be a scientist on my kindergarten graduation day.
But, I decided to follow my dreams.
